About
In October 2011, we set out from Austin, Texas for Kathmandu, Nepal, where we will be based while working on several projects with various NGOs and collectives over the course of the next year.
Having spent more than two months in Nepal in 2010 working on a school building project, we can’t wait to experience the country as residents and put our backgrounds in architecture, graphic design, journalism, and photography to good use.
“Outlander” is a term used for expats and foreigners. This blog will chronicle all things related to our experiences traveling, working, and adjusting to life in a new land. (Note: There might initially be a little whining as we wean ourselves off of queso and cheeseburgers.)
It’s safe to say that 95 percent of the posts here will come from Sarah, but feel free to contact either one of us at any time with comments or questions!
Thanks for reading!
